Our Work

Before the building can be open to the public for various possible uses (café, classes, or performances), however, several repairs & modifications to the structure need to occur.

An architectural assessment (see PDF for details)  conducted in 2020 lists as priorities:

  • replacement of the north foundation wall and support piers

  • new electrical wiring, handicap accessibility

  • roof replacement

  • steeple repairs.

NEXT STEPS

New owner Josh Oakly is continuing the restoration work. He says:

“My first priority is preservation of the building including updating the core and shell of the building against the elements like winter weather. Then, we can begin the adaptive reuse with programming that changes and expands the use the building as a key contributor to Lower Waterford” says Josh.
